There was a big explosion in Akure in the early hours of Saturday, destroying several houses and properties.

Also, several people were injured as a result of the explosion, but no deaths have so far been recorded.

The cause of the explosion isn’t clear, but some eyewitnesses alleged that it was caused an asteroid. Nigerian Tribune, on the other hand, suspected a bomb blast.

The destruction was much, as several houses, a school and church were destroyed.
