The dead body of a man who is yet to be identified man was found floating on a river along Osogbo-Iragbiji road on Monday led to apprehension in the Kelebe community of Osogbo, Osun state.

According to several eyewitnesses, some passersby saw the body floating on Omu River; Taiwo Aderibigbe, a resident of Kelebe community also confirmed this.

Residents of Kelebe area have notified the Ota Efun Police Division about the corpse.

Policemen from the station reportedly evacuated the corpse and deposited it in the morgue of Ladoke Akintola Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.

Police Public Relations Officer of Osun State Command, Yemisi Opalola, when contacted, said the corpse had been removed.

Adding that “The identity of the corpse is not yet known.
