Some officers From the Lagos State Police Command saved a frustrated young man who wanted to kill himself yesterday.
According to the official Twitter handle of the Lagos State police command, the incident took place at Third Mainland Bridge, the same place that has recorded a high number of suicides in the past.
“Yesterday our vigilant officers on 3MB prevented this young man from diving into the Lagoon.
“His expression of frustration made him hell bent on jumping despite being restrained by the officers.
“He’s been taken to Oworo Police Station where his family was contacted,” the wrote.
Meanwhile, the police didn’t reveal his name and didn’t make his face visible. It is not clear how they plan on making him get over his suicidal thoughts for good.
The Third Mainland Bridge has now become the most preferred exit point for people who are tired of this world.
