To clear the confusion, In Nigeria it is officially called postal code or postcode. If you visit any website that requests for Nigeria zip code, just go ahead and provide your postal code. Postal code, zip code, and postcode all mean the same thing. In fact some countries even call it PINCODE.
Chances are you’ll come across websites requesting for Nigeria Zip code. The reason to this is that most of them are American websites, which prefer to call it zip code.
Does the whole Nigeria use the same postal code?
Nigeria as a country is made up of 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Each of the 36 states has several local Government Areas (LGAs).
To cut the long story short, all of those Local Government Areas and sometimes the towns within them make use of unique postal codes. In other words, the entire Nigeria doesn’t use the same postal code.
