Nigerian actress, Funke Akindele, has extended her kind hands towards the veteran actor, Kayode Olasehinde ‘Ajirebi’, better known as Pa James.
Pa James who resided in a slum area in Lagos was in continuous fear of every rainfall, as it meant he had to battle with another flooding of his apartment.
However, it appears he’ll not have to live there anymore, as Funke Akindele has gifted him a new house.
Meanwhile, the actress appears to have kept it on a low-key, as she didn’t make any mention of it on any of her social handles.
However, Nigerian filmmaker and actor, Adekunle Afod, took to Instagram to share a video of Pa James thanking Funke Akindele.
During last year’s rainy season, Pa James’ son, Samuel Ajirebi, took to social media to call on the government to look into the incessant flooding of houses in the community where his father resided.
“This year makes it ten years of repeated and consistent occurrence of this with severe damages done annually to properties, at times leading to temporary displacement!,” Samuel had written.
“Letters have been written, TV appearances made, press releases written, still no significant step was taken by the government to channel the overrunning canal.
“This is not a sympathy plea for anything, but a call to the state and local government authorities of Lagos (@akinwunmiambode and @jidesanwoolu ) Oke Odo LGA respectively to please wake up to your responsibility and stop making citizens suffer in neglect!
“We need governmental intervention in Oke Isagun Community of Oke Odo LGA! We lose properties! We lose rest whenever we see rain signs!
“Tonight is going to be a partial prayer moment for families because it must not rain tonight… No house for us to sleep in anymore!.”
Kayode Olasehinde ‘Ajirebi’ is popular for his role as Pa James in popular sitcom, Papa Ajasco.
