Biography and Educational background
The handsome actor is a native of Arochukwu, Abia State. However, he spent his early days in different parts of Nigeria.
Alex was born into a family of six; his father, Mazi Alex Ekubo – an oil marketer. His mother; Jane Ekubo-Okwaraeke – a businesswoman and a fashion designer and three other siblings.
He is the second child in his family – he has two sisters, the older and younger one, and a younger brother.
Alex spent the early parts of his childhood in Northern Nigeria. There he attended the Federal Government College Daura, Katsina State.
He went on to study Law at the University of Calabar. He later obtained a diploma in Mass Communication from Calabar Polytechnic.

Alex Ekubo came into Nollywood in 2005 when he got a role in his debut movie “Sinners in the House” produced by Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen.

In an interview with Genevieve magazine, he said, “I’m from a very religious family; I’ve been in tune with God all my life, hence my high morals and family values.
He also revealed that his most fashionable items are his accessories, chains, watches.
“Perfumes, wristwatch, shoes, all three of them are my weakness. However, I would give perfumes a higher preference. I love to look fresh and smell good; it creates a lasting impression,” he told Punch.
“I can’t leave home without a good scent on. I love a lady that smells good,” he said.
His mum taught him all he knows about fashion and style. She even owns her fashion label.
He also revealed that a lot of lady are trying to get him to commit to a relationship with them.

“If I go to hell, I will feel bad because of my religious background. I grew up in a strong, vibrant Christian home, the type where you join the choir as a kid and if you do something wrong, my Mum would say “I would report you to God”.
