Reports reaching us has it that the Emir of Rano, Alh Tafida Abubakar, has reportedly died. He was 74 years old.

Nigerian Tribune quoted a member of the House of Representatives, representing Rano and Bukure, Alh Kabiru Alhassan as confirming this report to journalist.

The late Emir was reportedly died at Nassarawa hospital in Kano as a result of protracted illness. Although the exact illness isn’t clear, but reports claim it isn’t coronavirus.

The late Emir was one of the new First Class monarch Gov Abdullahi Ganduje appointed. He left behind 17 children comprising of 12 female and 5 males.
