COVID-19: NCDC Announces 4 new cases, increasing Nigeria’s tally to 139

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced four new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria; 3 in the FCT and 1 in Lagos.

As at 08:00 pm 31st March there are 139 confirmed cases of the bug. Nine have been discharged with two deaths

Here’s a complete list of the states with infections and their number of cases as at 08:00 pm 31st March:

  • Lagos- 82
  • FCT- 28
  • Oyo- 8
  • Osun- 5
  • Ogun- 4
  • Kaduna- 3
  • Enugu- 2
  • Edo- 2
  • Bauchi- 2
  • Ekoti- 1
  • Rivers-1
  • Benue- 1

Meanwhile, Lagos state, Ogun, and the FCT have, today, commenced a 14-day lockdown, as imposed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Several other states, however, are also maintaining a lockdown based on the directives of their respective state governors.
