Nigeria’s former Attorney-General, Richard Akinjide dies

Former Attorney-General of the federation and minister of justice, Chief Osuolale Richard Akinjide is dead.

The 88-year-old former AGF died in his home in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Nigeria’s former Attorney-General, Richard Akinjide

The late AGF was Born in Ibadan, in the early 1930s into an influential family of warriors.

the former Ibadan high chief attended Oduduwa College, Ile-Ife from where he passed out in Grade One (Distinction, Aggregate 6).

He was a Minister of Education in the first republic when Alhaji Tafawa Balewa was the nation’s Prime Minister.

Chief Richard was also a Minister for Justice in the second republic, during the government of President Shehu Shagari.
