The Police have arrested a 44-year old Pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Ogo Oluwa parish, Ogun State, for allegedly raping his own daughter for over five years.

The arrest was made following a complaint by the 24-year-old, who claimed he started having forceful carnal knowledge of her in 2015 after the death of her mother.

She also claimed that her father, Oluwafemi Oyebola, impregnated her three times but he took her to a nurse and made her abort them.

She first reported the allegations to Advocacy For Children And Vulnerable Persons Network. Subsequently, they led her to the Owode-Egbado police station to file a formal complaint.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, revealed in a statement that the pastor admitted to committing the crime, The Nation reports.

Abimbola added that the Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson, has ordered a transfer of the case to the Anti-human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation and prosecution.
