An English man who secretly travelled to Italy on a trip with his mistress ended up contracting the deadly bug.
He told his unsuspecting wife that he wanted to go on a business trip whereas he was indeed out on the illicit date.
Despite his serious health condition, the man is more worried about his wife finding out about the secret affair.
Medical personnel at the hospital where he is currently being treated revealed that the man is the talk of public health officials.
“His case would be funny if it wasn’t quite so serious,” The Sun quoted a medical staff as saying.
“The man confessed what he’d been up to in Italy, and that his wife has no idea.
“She thinks he just picked up the disease on his business trip away.
“Although the patient admitted to medics what had happened, he said nothing would persuade him to name his mistress.
The man who according to health workers is from the North of England is quite successful and well to do. Meanwhile, his wife is currently isolation in their lavish home, knowing that her husband caught the deadly bug.
“Despite his infection, he is expected to survive the outbreak, unlike his extra-marital relationship,” the health worker continued.
“He thought he had the perfect alibi to carry out his affair, but hadn’t reckoned on the coronavirus meltdown. The patient is just relieved he got home before flights were cancelled – that would have taken some explaining.
“He’s in a blind panic, but more about his adultery being exposed rather than his health.”
