Coronavirus: Hamzat Declines Handshake From Governor Sanwo-Olu (video)

The Deputy Governor of Lagos State declined a handshake from Sanwo-Olu at the Isolation Centre in Lagos State.

The first Subsaharan Africa case of coronavirus was confirmed in Lagos State after an Italian man visited Milan and subsequently returned to Nigeria where he works.

As such, several individuals have been on high alert, as the virus is a no respecter of persons.

In a recent video making rounds on the internet, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, rejected a Handshake from the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Instead, he offered to perform the “leg shake”, one way of avoiding body contacts with people.

Meanwhile, the president of Nigeria has responded to the first covid-19 case in Nigeria. He urged citizens not to panic.

Several countries have ban public gatherings and urged citizens to limit the number of body contacts they make with people.
