‘Coronavirus is Not a Death Sentence, We will all be fine’ – Atiku Says

1

Popular Nigerian politician, Atiku Abubakar, has issued out a word of hope to Nigerians over the coronavirus pandemic.

First, he commended the Governors of Bauchi and Kaduna state for disclosing it to the general public when they became infected with the deadly bug.

Meanwhile, Atiku became the first prominent person to announce a case of the virus in his family when he disclosed that his son tested positive for COVID-19 last week.

“I wish to recommend the examples of Governors Bala Mohammed, El-Rufai and CG Nigeria Immigration, Babandede MFR for their disclosure.

“We can beat this pandemic by being open about it, educating our people, isolation and testing. It is not a death sentence, we will all be fine.”

He also urged people to maintain proper health measures by washing their hands and avoiding large gatherings.

Currently, Nigeria has recorded 111 cases of the novel coronavirus, most of which are in Lagos and the FCT.

As a result, the President yesterday announced the lockdown of Lagos, Abuja and Ogun State for the next two weeks, starting from 11 pm today.
