Nigerian Reality TV Star, Ifu Ennada has voiced out her frustration over a sudden hike in the price of disposable face mask in Lekki.

This is coming after Africa’s most populous nation, Nigeria, confirmed its first case in Lagos State.

Earlier, she revealed that “Since this confirmation of Corona Virus in Lagos, the price of Disposable face masks “moved from 750 naira to over 10,000 naira” in some Pharmacies in Lekki.

She, later on, revealed again that “disposable face mask now costs 15,000 naira! No longer 750naira or 10,000 naira which was the latest price in Lekki.”

The TV star is clearly upset by the recent development and has taken to Instagram to lash out at the Pharmacies trying to take advantage of the situation in Nigeria.

“You can obviously tell these people are trying to make the most out of the situation but isn’t this sort of hike in price supposed to be illegal? How do you increase the price of something by over 1,000% ? What should the poor who can’t afford it do? I’m sure Hand Sanitizers and any other thing that can help curb Coronavirus will also face inflation in price,” Ifu Ennada continued.

She added, “Personally, as a business person, I’d not take advantage of a negative situation to rip people off of money. The only time I’d increase price is when there’s a significant increase in the cost of production.”

Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to keep calm as they work to figure out all the people who had close contacts with the Italian.
