The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, has defended his controversial decision to appoint Senator Elisha Abbo as a patron of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
So far, several celebrities and renown persons have spoken out against that decision. However, Emeka Rollas appears unperturbed.
He had an exclusive interview session with Plus TV, in which he questioned the contribution of Hilda Dokubo and Kate Henshaw to the Guild.
“You may be a Star and an Actress but not a member of the Guild,” Emeka Rollas said.
When the presenter queried him on if Hilda and Kate Henshaw particularly were members, Emeka Rollas claimed not to know except he checked the list, which according to him, contains 2 million people.
Emphasizing his decision to make Elisha Abbo patron, he revealed that since the senator was not convicted by any court of law, it was not in the Guild’s place treat him as such.
“When I talk of morality and legality, you’ll ask us who’s holier than senator Abbo” he asked.
