Ex-PPMC director Suleiman Achimugu dies from coronavirus, becomes Nigeria’s 1st to die from the virus

The first confirmed coronavirus death is 67-year-old Suleiman Achimugu. He is the former managing director of the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC).

Suleiman Achimugu had severe underlying health conditions, according to a statement released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC. Before his death, he was undergoing chemotherapy

The late Suleiman recently returned from the United Kingdom where he went to receive medical treatment. However, he ended up contracting the virus.

Aside from coronavirus, he also suffered from multiple myeloma and diabetes.
