Best Google AdSense alternatives

Are looking for a list of the very best Google AdSense alternatives available in Nigeria?

I have carried out all the research necessary and will provide you with a list of the very best contextual advertisement companies you can register with apart from AdSense.

Google AdSense alternatives are in large abundance on the web; however, not all of them are available in Nigeria.

Limitations can be due to geographical restriction or reception of funds in Nigeria.

The major reason Nigerians can’t register with several ad platforms and Affiliate programs online is because PayPal doesn’t allow Nigerians to receive money.

Consequently, any AdSense alternative that limits reception of funds to just PayPal becomes inaccessible to Nigerians.

All the AdSense alternatives I’ll list in this publication will include a breakdown of how you can also receive your funds in Nigeria.

There can be no doubt, whatsoever, that Google AdSense is the best contextual advertisement company on the web.

Not just because it is owned by Google, it’s one of the oldest and most organized ad platform on the web.

Although AdSense is the most popular ad platform on the web, people are always in search of alternatives.

Reasons may range from difficulties in getting an approved AdSense account to receiving a ban from the program.

Apart from all that, you can also decide to register with another ad platform to complement your money making strategy.

AdSense works very well with other ad networks, provided your blog doesn’t violate the Google ads placement policy.

Here the best 6 Google AdSense alternatives available in Nigeria:

1. Media.net

Media.net is one of the biggest AdSense alternatives you can find out there. It’s owned by Yahoo! and Bing, and is operated in a very similar fashion to AdSense.

When you register with Media.net, you gain access to their thousands of Advertisers worldwide.

After reaching a minimum balance of $100 in your account, you can withdraw your funds using PayPal or Bank Wire transfer.

Like I said earlier, PayPal funds reception is not available in Nigeria; However, you can receive your funds using the Bank Wire Transfer method of payment.

2. Ezoic

Ezoic isn’t really an ad company, but a leading artificial intelligence platform for publishers. The site provides all the tools necessary to grow your website traffic and revenue.

When you sign up with Ezoic, you automatically gain access to Google AdSense and tens of other AdSense alternatives partnering with them, most of which are not on this list.

It would be nice if you currently have an AdSense account, this would help hasten the ad testing process. Notwithstanding, you can apply to Ezoic even if you’re not currently signed up with AdSense.

In addition, Ezoic has a lucrative referral program that will pay you for life, so long as your referral keeps using their account.

3. Infolinks

Infolinks claims to have the third largest publisher Marketplace worldwide and rightly so. According to present Alexa stats, it’s ranked among the top 15,000 websites worldwide.

I consider Infolinks to be one of the very best alternatives to Google AdSense you can find out there. Visit Infolinks to find out more!

Also, Infolinks offer a wide range of optional withdrawal methods which include: Bank Wire transfer, check, Payoneer, etc. which makes it an advertisement company suitable for Nigerians.

4. Viglink

Viglink is an outbound traffic monetization service for webmasters. It was founded in 2009 and has been growing ever since.

Viglink is currently ranked among the top 10,000 websites in the world, just so you know it’s not a small company.

It is also another massive AdSense alternative you can register with easily and start monetizing your site.

After reaching the minimum payout for publishers, which is set at $20, you can withdraw your earnings using Bank Wire transfer which, unfortunately, is the only method of payment accessible to Nigerians.

5. Chitika

Chitika is a search-targeted advertising company founded in May 2003. It is located in the United States and available worldwide.

It is another very popular Google AdSense alternative available to Nigerian bloggers.

Chitika is listed in this post not just because you can easily withdraw your earnings in Nigeria, but because it’s one of the best options you have out there.

After reaching a minimum balance of $50, you can withdraw your Chikita Earnings using Payoneer, which is one of the most popular PayPal alternatives in Nigeria.

If you don’t have a Payoneer account yet, follow this guide to open one now.

6. Adversal

Adversal is a popular display advertising company that has been in business since 2003.

I consider Adversal a very good alternative to Google AdSense for Nigerian Bloggers. However, it’s approval procedure and requirements are slightly different from that of Google AdSense.

Publishers are required to get a minimum of 50,000 page views per month before they can get an Adversal account.

After reaching a minimum of $20 in your account, you can withdraw your Adversal earnings using Bank Wire transfer, which is available to Nigerian publishers.

Wrapping up

Like I said earlier, although there are several alternatives to AdSense, it’s safe to say none really measures up to the standard and level of organization of AdSense.

So, if the reason you’re looking to get an alternative platform is that you were not able to get approval from AdSense, you can have a look at my FAQ on AdSense.

In that post, I explained how I got my Nigerian AdSense account in one month of blogging.

Also, make sure you don’t place more than two add codes on your site of different companies. Doing that may lead to you violating Google beta ads policy.

  1. Hello,

Let me add this here and make it clear that adsense will reject any other form of id card aside the three specified ids they’ve requested for which are: international passport, national id card and driving license.

Two days ago, a user used his voters card which was rejected, I also fell victim to this. Be guided.

  2. thanks for your post Matt
i applied for adsense and got approved within a month and few days.my blog is serving the real estate niche. is there any advertising program out there that is majorly serving real estate websites and blogs.
    i

    • Hi Prayertitus, sorry for the late reply. If you wish to verify your AdSense account manually, then you need to upload a means of identification (ID card, Driver’s license, Passport, Voter’s Card, etc), or a bank statement of account or utility bill receipt containing the location indicated on your AdSense account. But this is only possible after you must have requested for AdSense PIN three times and didn’t get it.

    • You can use any of the alternatives above along with AdSense; however, you need to be very careful not to violate Google webmaster quality guideline. That is, not placing more ads than appropriate on one page. I advise you use Ezoic. They display ads from AdSense, Bing, RevContent, etc. So with Ezoic you don’t need to join any of those ad networks to see ads from them.
