Governorship aspirant pays for surgery of student suffering from cancer

Ifeoluwa Oyedele, a governorship aspirant under the umbrella of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has paid for the Surgery of a Student, Tobias Sunday.

Tobias who is a student of Bishop Philip Academy, Ibadan, Oyo state is suffering from maxillofacial cancer.

His case on the 22nd of February reported in a national daily. It was reported that Tobias would be needing the sum of N450,000 for the surgery.

Mr Oyedele said he was touched by Sunday’s condition so he provided the required finance for him to undergo the necessary surgery.

The ailment started around March 2019, the sickness has caused swollen tongue and neck; put him through pains.

Consequently, he has stopped going to school and has also prevented him from talking and eating.

According to doctors at Ondo State Teaching Hospital Akure, Sunday is suffering from Cancer of the Mandible.

They said he had to be referred to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, where he would undergo the three stages of cancer treatment – the Surgical, Chemotherapy, and Radiotherapy.

Dr Dipo Okeyomi represented Oyedele during the presentation of the cash to the student.

Dr Dipo was accompanied by Rt. Hon. Kenneth Olawale, the former speaker of the state house of assembly and Dr Segun Ayodele.

According to reports, Oyedele came across “the plight of the young man from the Media and quickly reached out to him by paying his hospital bills in order to give him a new lease of life.

A representative of the student’s family, Precious, on receiving the team commended the governorship aspirant for rendering assistance to them when they were already on the verge of giving up.
