Some protesters stormed the US embassy in Abuja on Monday, 6th July 2020 demanding the arrest of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other PDP Chieftains.

Others mentioned in the call include Timi Frank, Dino Melaye, Fayose, among other PDP chieftains.

According to the protesters, they should be arrested and investigated because of their link to the arrested suspect, Raymond Abbas Igbalode, alias Hushpuppi.

The protesters who refer to themselves as members of Concerned Citizens Forum (CCF) displayed placards with different captions.

Some of the writeups include, “FBI should investigate Atiku Abubakar”, “Say No to fraud, Interpol act now”, Interpol act and arrest Dino Melaye”, “Show me your friend and I will tell you who you are”.

“Hushpuppi is PDP, PDP is Hushpuppi” another placard read.

The APC had earlier linked some PDP members to Hushpuppi because the PDP members were photographed with the suspect in Dubai.

Dino Melaye and Bukola Saraki has both responded to the APC’s claims as both their names were mentioned by the APC.

Hushpuppi was arrested in June for some alleged fraudulent activities. The Interpol arrested him in Dubai.

He has been transferred to the United State and according to reports, he is likely to face 20 years jail term.

Some Nigerians appear to be pleased with his arrest. While others such as Nigerian singer, Terry G has asked that Nigerians ‘pray for the former Instagram big boy’.

Other celebrities such as Emma Nyra, Bobrisky have all reacted to the arrest of their fellow celebrity.

As of last week, Interpol released a video showing his arrest. They also revealed that he scammed over 1.9 million people of over $150b.

They were also reports that Hushpuppi was making plans to scam an English Premier League club of £100m.
