Forbes has come out to refute the claims that popular rapper, Kanye West, made about his wife becoming a billionaire.
The rapper had come out a few days ago to congratulate his wife, Kim Kardashian on becoming a billionaire.
“I am so proud of my beautiful wife Kim Kardashian West for officially becoming a billionaire,” Kanye wrote.
”You’ve weathered the craziest storms and now God is shining on you and our family. So blessed this is still life.
According to Forbes, the mother of four is worth about $900million after she signed a deal with Coty Inc. to sell a 20 per cent stake in her make-up and fragrance company.
According to Coty, the stake she sold was worth for $200million. 20 per cent of $1b is $200m. Maybe that led to her husband assuming that she is now a billionaire.
However, Forbes says that the deal values KKW Beauty at $1 billion, not that she is one yet, but close.
The financial magazine estimates that Kim has a 72 per cent stake in the company now (majority ownership) and that her mother Kris Jenner owns an 8 per cent stake.
Forbes recently revoked Kylie’s youngest billionaire title, accusing the younger Kardashian of inflating her net worth by falsifying tax returns and other financial.
