A Lokoja woman has been arrested after reports emerged that she allegedly poured water on her niece.

A concerned Twitter user earlier shared a post urging people to look for the woman whom he claimed was at large as she heard the police was going to arrest her.

“This girl was poured Hot water by her aunt/guardian this morning in Lokoja, Kogi state. Very disheartening. When she hard the police were coming she ran away,” Jephthah wrote.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Human Rights Commissions has promised to follow up on the case.

Soon after, Jephthah shared another post revealing that the woman has now been apprehended and will most likely face charges for her actions.
