Rumours of the death of veteran actor, Olu Jacobs, have been making the rounds on social media.
With no one knowing where the false news emanated from, Nigerians did not waste time in reacting to the news and soon ‘rest in peace’ began to trend online.
However, a close source to the family, Nollywood Actor and Producer, Kemi Lala Akindoju, has confirmed the news to be fake.
Kemi is reportedly close to the Actor’s wife and veteran actress, Joke Silva,
She has taken to her official account to dismiss the tweets revealing that she spoke to him minutes ago.

“Uncle Olu Jacobs is alive and well. Very much so. I just got off the phone with him. Please stop spreading fake news,” she wrote.
Olu Jacobs is an internationally acclaimed Nigerian actor and film executive who has featured in several British television series and international films.
The 77-year-old veteran who was born on 11 July 1942 is currently married to Joke Silva and together they have children.
