The cases of coronavirus in Nigeria has now risen to 44 after the NCDC announced two fresh cases. One of the cases is in the FCT while the other is in Bauchi.

As such, the cases of coronavirus in the FCT has now risen to 8 while Bauchi has now recorded its first case.

“2 new cases of COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: 1 in FCT and 1 in Bauchi,” The NCDC wrote.

“The cases have travel history to Germany and the UK.

“As at 06:25 pm on 24th March, there are 44 confirmed cases of COVID19 in Nigeria. 2 have been discharged with 1 death,” the NCDC added.

Although the NCDC didn’t mention any name, it is obvious that the new case recorded for Bauchi is the one for the State Governor we earlier reported.

The FCT case, on the other hand, is most likely that of Buhari’s Chief of staff, Abba Kyari, that leaked online early into the day. Recall that he has a travel history to Germany as we revealed in our previous post.

Following Abba Kyari’s diagnosis, President Buhari conducted a test which according to the presidency came back negative.
