Nigerian lady trafficked to Oman cries for help after suffering abuse

A woman has taken to social media to cry out for help after she was trafficked to Oman and enslaved there.

In the video currently making rounds on Twitter, the woman was seen crying and beckoning on the government of Nigeria to come to her aid.

Along with the video were two pictures that seemingly depicted her before and after looks. Clearly, she is a shadow of her former self, as she currently looks like someone going through a lot.

The person who shared the post called on the boss of Nigeria in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa to know what is going on with the issue.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa responded saying NAPTIP is on the issue.

Oman is located in the Middle East; a part of the world that the BBC uncovered doesn’t do enough to combat the modern slavery perpetrated on its soil.

Every year, countless Nigerians are trafficked to several countries in the Middle East to work as domestic servant.

Recently, a Lebanese man was arrested after he listed a Nigerian woman for sale on Facebook.
