Reports reaching us confirm that Nollywood actress Patience Oseni has passed on.
She died on 17, February 2020 in Calabar, Cross River State, after spending several months battling with stroke and her weight.
Born in Ogun State, she originally began her acting career in 1995. However, it was in 1999 she rose into prominence after featuring in the then-popular horror movie “End of the Wicked”.
She then went on to feature in several other movies including but not limited to My Only Love (2003), Orange Girl (2002) and Bumper to Bumper (2004).
Also, she featured in several seasons of popular TV drama SuperStory. One of her most recent participations includes the 2017 season of SuperStory titled “Godwin”.
Her colleague, Ejiro Okurame, took to Instagram to break the sad news, saying “You fought a good fight. God bless your soul as you meet with your Creator. Rest in Peace Legendary MA Patience Oseni.”
Meanwhile, Chairman of The Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, has also confirmed her death via a statement.
“With deep sense of sorrow but with total submission to the will of Almighty God, we announce the passing unto eternal glory of Patience Oseni, veteran Actress and member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,” He said.
She reportedly moved in with her daughter in Calabar as her health deteriorated; however, she didn’t get any better until her unfortunate passing.
