Hollywood producers, Russo Brothers, have invited the Nigerian Entertainment group, Ikorodu Bois, to the premiere of “Extraction 2”. The invitation came in less than a few hours after Ikorodu Bois did a mind-blowing remake of the movie trailer.
Their own version of Extraction 2 trailer went viral shortly after they remade it, and it has so far garnered over 3 million views on Twitter.
Consequently, it attracted the attention of Netflix and they tweeted in response to the viral Ikorodu bois remake.
The popular streaming giant simply wrote a tweet saying “Love this”.
The producers of the movie, Russo Brothers, went a tad far by inviting them for the 2nd movie premiere.
“This is awesome! We would love to have you guys at the #Extraction 2 premiere…DM us and we’ll get you there!,” they wrote in reply to Ikrorodu Bois.
Anthony Russo and Joseph Russo, collectively known as the Russo brothers, are American directors, producers, screenwriters, editors, and actors. They direct most of their work together.
American actor, Chris Hemsworth also noticed the movie and reshared it on Instagram.
“Huge shout out to these amazing young film makers @ikorodu_bois for recreating @extraction trailer shot for shot! I think your version might be better than the original!! @netflixfilm,” he wrote.
The remake has now garnered over 6 million views on Hemsworth’s page which has 43 million followers.
Who are the Ikorodu Bois?
Ikorodu Bois have been gaining worldwide attention for their remake of popular Hollywood movies.
The group is made up of brothers Muiz Sanni, 15, Malik Sanni, 10, and their cousin, 13-year-old Fawas Aina. They are popular for remaking short clips of movies trailers and music videos.
Their older brother, 23-year-old Babatunde Sanni, is the brain behind their productions. He works as the editor and manager of Ikorodu Bois.
Some of the shot-for-shot remakes they’ve made in the past include Bad Boys for Life and Money Heist.
They also made a tribute to NBA legend, Kobe Bryant, among others.
In the past, their effort got the attention of ‘The Professor’ from Money Heist, who tweeted a thank you message for the remake.
