Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W has called on people returning to Nigeria from countries with cases of coronavirus to self-isolate for 14 days.
According to him, whether or not a person feels unwell, they should self-isolate as some patients who have the virus are asymptomatic.
Indeed, the asymptomatic patients have a greater chance of spreading it among people within the country.
“For Nigerians arriving from affected countries, PLEASE obey the authorities instructions & self-isolate for 14 days,” Banky W wrote.
“Please. It’s not about whether you feel ill or not. It’s possible to have the virus & not feel any symptoms.
“If you know anyone who just got back, please warn them,” he added.
Nigeria has now recorded up to 8 cases of the killer bug. As such, many states are scrambling round to ensure the spread is minimal.
Lagos recently banned religious gatherings of more than 50 persons throughout the state.
