Popular Nigerian singer and music producer, Don Jazzy, has reacted to the raping and beating up of Uwaila Omozuwa which subsequently led to her death.
Taking to his Instagram page, the singer lashed out at all rapists and people who know and protect them.
In fact, he went on to say every rapist deserves to die. In other words, he is calling for the death penalty on convicts.
“I saw a thread on Twitter, different ladies writing about their traumatic rape experiences,” Don Jazzy wrote on Instagram.
“I can’t begin to imagine how these women feel. The pain they suffered and are suffering mentally everyday. It is so heartbreaking.
“I believe every rapist deserves to die. If you are a rapist out there and you see this, you should be ashamed of yourself and I want you to know that one day you will pay for your barbaric crimes.
“This goes to rape apologists too and those that know a rapist and is protecting them. SHAME ON YOU.”
Several other people have reacted to the brutal raping of Uwa and have been calling for justice. However, no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the crime.
Meanwhile, Pastor Adeboye, who is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, inside which the crime happened, condemned the act and prayed for the apprehension of the suspects.
