Super Eagles player, John Ogu has donated about $1000 to Nigerian female basketball player Deborah Onah.

Super Eagles player, John Ogu has donated about $1000 to Nigerian female basketball player Deborah Onah.

Deborah is battling with Tuberculosis of the Spine. According to her basketball academy based in Abuja, she will need the sum of 350,000 Naira for treatment.

Her academy took to their twitter handle to make this announcement attaching an account number to the post.

According to them, the said amount is meant for cardiovascular surgery.

The Tweet posted by the academy reads:

”One of our players, DEBORAH ONAH is down with Tuberculosis of the Spine. We solicit financial support as she undergoes treatment, at National Hospital Abuja.

The goal is 350,000 Naira for cardiovascular surgery. No amount is too small.”

Deborah is battling with Tuberculosis of the Spine.

John Ogu who saw the tweet took to the comment section of the post to disclose that he will be providing the needed amount.

They also thanked everyone for their contribution.

They went on to disclose that it received more than the approximated amount and so will be taking her to an India specialist hospital in Karu, Abuja.
