‘Witches flogged, tried to initiate me after I acted Koto Orun’ – Iya Gbonkan reveals

Margaret Bandele Olayinka, popularly known as Iya Gbonkan, has alleged that she suffered a horror attack consequent of a horror movie she acted in the late 1980s.

Iya Gbonkan claims witches attacked her as a result of her playing the role of a witch in the popular Yoruba movie “Koto Orun”

According to the veteran Yoruba actress, she almost lost her life after featuring in the movie “Koto Orun”, where she played the role of a scary witch.

She made this shocking revelation during an interview with “Japagogo TV”.

“After shooting Yekini Ajileye’s Koto Orun, we all faced various challenges. About 5 days after the production, I was sleeping and some people started flogging me in my dream. They flogged me mercilessly and asked me how I got to know how witches behave,” Iya Gbonkan told Japagogo TV.

“Thank God my husband was still alive as of then. I would have died, if not for him. About three days after the incident, they tried persuading me to join the coven,” she added.

Koto Orun is very popular Yoruba Movie produced by the Late Alhaji Ajileye Yekini. The scary movie premiered in 1989 and subsequently became a big hit.
