A woman has taken to Twitter to share before and now photos of what she looked like before and after her eye surgery while narrating how she was shamed for having crossed eyes.

@Elsea20 recounted how she was called “Anya 4:30” and how people body shamed her with their words.

She suffered depression and at some point she could not take anymore and one day, she bumped into her mum’s office in tears.

She recounted her ordeal to her mother and later to her father, who asked her what she wanted and she said she wanted to go for eye surgery, having read about it.

According to her, she took a one year break from school and was even ready to take seven years just to get the eyes corrected.

She had the surgery abroad and her sight was corrected. According to her, her confidence level boosted since then.

Sharing photos of her eyes before and after the surgery, she advised people to be more thoughtful with their words, because they have no inkling how much It affects others.

The lady has also revealed that she is considering setting up a foundation that would help in correcting people with such an eye problem.

She said this in response to one Twitter user who took to the comment section of her post to tell her to set up a foundation that would help especially the underprivileged.
