Nigerian actor, Yul Edochie, has taken to social media to thank his father, Pete Edochie, for what many would refer to as ‘domestic violence’ in developed countries.

Apparently, his father, Pete Edochie, gave him the lashing of his life after he told him he wanted to drop out of school.

However, he appears to hold no grudges. In fact, he revels at that moment which he clearly believes made him the man he is today.

“In JS2, I told my father I didn’t want to go to school anymore, he should open electrical shop for me,” Yul Edochie wrote in a tweet.

“He said ok. He invited me to his room, locked the door & pulled out his belt.

“He gave me a beating that reset my brain to factory setting. Look at me today.

“Thank you Dad,” he added.

Yul Edochie is one of the most successful actors in the Nigerian movie industry. He is without a doubt following in the footsteps of his father, who is a veteran in the industry.

Everyone knows Pete Edochie to be one man who has held dearly the old practices of the African culture.

Not too long ago, he categorically lashed out at people who kneel to propose to women. According to him, they are ‘fools’ because that is not the African culture.
