Our previous publication contains a list of all commercial subjects for students in Nigerian Senior Secondary Schools. This time around, we we talk about the ones deemed compulsory by both popular examination bodies in Nigeria.
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) is responsible for conducting the largest Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) written in several West African countries.
NECO, on the other hand, is a national senior school certificate examination written only in Nigeria.
Many among the interested candidates are Commercial students and, as such, must register for some compulsory subjects, combined with several other optional ones.
List of the compulsory subjects for commercial students in WAEC:
- Mathematics
- English Language
- At least one of Commerce, Accounting or Marketing
- Agricultural Science or at least one vocational subject.
- Civic Education
- Economics
Make sure you register for all of all the 6 compulsory subjects in the list above. After that, choose any 3 from the list below to complete your registration.
