Many people have been speaking against the gruesome murder of George Floyd by a Minniapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. To that effect, Nigerian Rapper, Slimcase, took to his Instagram page to write a message addressing his death.
However, he has now attracted controversy for telling Nigerians to leave Tina’s matter in favour of George Floyd’s murder, which according to him is an international case.
For several days, Justice for Tina has trended on social media after a police officer shot the 16-years-old dead.
Incidentally, George Floyd also died during that time consequent of police brutality.
Responding to George Floyd’s death, Slimcase wrote saying, “FAME AFTER DEATH… any positive blow wey I gats blow God Let me blow am now that I am alive not after I am dead George A sacrifice for d change in black history.”
In response to his post, a fan wrote urging him to talk about Justice for Tina instead.
However, Slimcase wasn’t having any of that as he decided to reply to the poster saying, “We’re talking about a global pandemic here. Leave the Lagos girl for Channels to talk about am.”

Slimcase’s remark has clearly stirred anger from Nigerians as they took to social media to hit out at him.

The police officer who had his knee on George Floyd’s neck has now been arrested and charged with murder.
Similarly, the two officers involved in the death of Tina have been arrested and are currently facing an investigation.
