In this guide you’ll learn how to load over-scratched MTN recharge card without stress.

Did you over scratch your MTN card and, as a result, can’t see the PIN? I have also done that on a couple of occasions; however, I didn’t have to throw it away! I have always found easy ways to retrieve that card.

If you’ve been following our guides on MTN, then you’d recall that we recently shared a guide on the code for loading MTN recharge card.

However, if the 17-digit PIN on the card is not visible or one of the numbers is missing, then it is impossible to use that recharge code.

But all hope is not lost; there are two simple methods you can use to bypass the customary method.

Note: You must be able to, at least, be able to provide the serial number of the over-scratched card, and some digits of the the PIN still visible.

How to load overcratched MTN card:

There are two methods I usually follow to this

To load your over-scratched MTN card by speaking to a customer care agent:

• Dial 180 on your phone and press 9 to return to main menu.
• Press 6 for support and then 0 to speak with a customer care representative.
• Tell them you are interested in loading your over scratched MTN card.
• You will be asked to provide the serial number of the card, and the PIN of the card still visible.

If you are able to accurately provide the serial number of the card and the some of the PIN, the customer care representative will load it directly into your account.

To load your over-scratched MTN card using MTN mobile app:

• First of all, visit your app store to download My MTNAPP
• select the option that says load over-scratched card
• Fill in your card PIN in the first space, making sure to replace missing numbers with dots.
• Enter the serial number of the card and then enter the phone number you wish to recharge the card on.

Note: you need to have an active internet connection to be able to use the MTN mobile app.

To me, using the MTN mobile app is a much faster and easier way to load your over scratched MTN card.
