A Nigerian man who goes by the name Salihu Umar has announced that he has coronavirus. He previously took to Twitter to reveal that someone on his flight tested positive to the virus. Therefore, everyone who boarded the flight was exposed to it including him.

“Someone on my flight tested positive, that is to say everyone on that flight has been exposed,” he wrote.

“Although, I’m in self-isolation, time to go get tested ASAP.”

Just two hours after his first Tweet, he shared another one in which he revealed he had tested positive to the deadly virus.

“I have just tested positive for COVID19,” he wrote.

“At the moment, I am still under self-isolation as health personnel make their way to my house for evacuation to Gwagwalada isolation centre.

“My neighbours and employer have been notified accordingly,” he added.

Currently, the NCDC has confirmed 35 cases of coronavirus in Nigeria. Meanwhile, the nation recorded its first death after Ex-PPMC director Suleiman Achimugu died from the deadly disease.
