“l take it in good faith” Sanusi Accepts his Shocking Dethronement

The recently deposed Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido II has addressed the people of Kano following his shocking dethronement.

Indeed, there have been mixed reactions as a result of his dethronement. However, he has now given a speech in order to avoid an unnecessary outbreak of violence.

Addressing the people in Hausa, the local language of the Nothern Nigerian state, he said: “l am urging for calm as l take the dethronement in good faith.”

He continued saying, “everything that has a beginning and must definitely have an end.

Furthermore, he instructed his family members and loyalists to pay homage to the newly appointed Emir Bayero in order to preserve the dignity of the royal institution.

In conclusion of his short speech, he prayed for peace, progress and economic buoyancy of Kano and Nigeria, and for a happy ending.

In another related story, Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem poked fun at Sanusi Lamido, saying a corrupt man removed him from office; now he has experienced real corruption.
