Glo Data plan: Bundles, Price List & Subscription Codes For 2020

Glo data plans in 2020 are insanely cheap. But you still need a guide to help you strike the best deal. Therefore we decided to offer this guide to help you know the codes for purchasing data from Glo with ₦25, ₦50, ₦100, ₦500, ₦1,000, ₦2,500 or more.

In addition to that, you’ll find out the validity period and data volume you get from any purchase you make whether you’re using a smartphone device or modem.

Glo is the self-proclaimed grandmasters of data and so far they’ve been living up to that name.

However, Glo network has to be very good at your location before you can fully enjoy all the perks that come with subscribing to one of the Glo data plans or bundles.

Read to know if Glo data plans are cheaper than that MTN Nigeria, Airtel Nigeria & 9Moblile.

Here are the Glo data plans up for grab:

Glo 3G/4G data plans for android, windows, iOS & modems

All purchases will give you a bonus of 125% for new customers only or old customers who qualify to own a Glo Oga SIM.

Glo unfair advantage: 2GB@N1000

Old customers who do not qualify will only get 25% bonus on their subscription volume.

For instance, if you’re an existing customer and you make a data purchase of ₦1,000 using *127*53#, you’ll get a data volume of 1.6GB and a bonus of 0.4 GB (25%), which gives you a total of 2GB data.

If you’re using a Glo Oga SIM, you’d get 1.6GB plus a bonus of 2GB (125%) which gives you a total of 3.6GB.

The table below explains what existing customers get from any purchase they make:

Plan Name/Cost Data Volume Data Volume with Bonus Validity SMS to 127 USSD Code
₦25 PLAN 10MB 12.5MB 1 Day 32 *127*32#
₦50 PLAN 22MB 27.5MB 1 Day 14 *127*14#
₦100 PLAN 80MB 100MB 1 Day 51 *127*51#
₦200 PLAN 210MB 262MB 5 Days 56 *127*56#
₦500 PLAN 800MB 1GB 14 Days 57 *127*57#
₦1,000 PLAN 1.6GB 2GB 30 Days 53 *127*53#
₦2000 PLAN 3.65GB 4.5GB 30 Days 55 *127*55#
₦2,500 PLAN 5.75GB 7.2GB 30 Days 58 *127*58#
₦3,000 PLAN 7GB 8.75GB 30 Days 54 *127*54#
₦4,000 PLAN 10GB 12.5GB 30 Days 59 *127*59#
₦5,000 PLAN 12.5GB 15.6GB 30 Days 11 *127*2#
₦8,000 PLAN 20GB 25GB 30 Days 12 *127*1#
₦10,000 PLAN 26GB 32.5GB 30 Days 15 *127*11#
₦15,000 PLAN 42GB 52.5GB 30 Days 16 *127*12#
₦18,000 PLAN 50GB 62.5GB 30 Days 17 *127*13#
₦20,000 PLAN 63GB 78.75GB 30 Days 33 *127*33#

In my opinion, an existing customer should go for ₦2,500 and above data plans, that’s if you require high volume of data for whatsoever reason.

Reason is, subscribing to data worth ₦2,500 and above comes with bigger bonuses. In other words, the higher you go the bigger the discount you get to enjoy.

As earlier noted, 125% bonus on data volumes is still available for new customers. In other words, whatever purchase you make will give you more than double the volume you were supposed to get.

Therefore, for a new customers with Oga SIMs the table will look like the one below:

Plan Name/Price Data Volume Data Volume with Bonus Validity SMS to 127 USSD Code
₦25 PLAN 10MB 20MB 1 Day 32 *127*32#
₦50 PLAN 22MB 44MB 1 Day 14 *127*14#
₦100 PLAN 80MB 180MB 1 Day 51 *127*51#
₦200 PLAN 210MB 472MB 5 Days 56 *127*56#
₦500 PLAN 800MB 1.8GB 14 Days 57 *127*57#
₦1,000 PLAN 1.6GB 3.6GB 30 Days 53 *127*53#
₦2000 PLAN 3.65GB 8.2GB 30 Days 55 *127*55#
₦2,500 PLAN 5.75GB 12.9GB 30 Days 58 *127*58#
₦3,000 PLAN 7GB 15.7GB 30 Days 54 *127*54#
₦4,000 PLAN 10GB 22.5GB 30 Days 59 *127*59#
₦5,000 PLAN 12.5GB 28.1GB 30 Days 11 *127*2#
₦8,000 PLAN 20GB 45GB 30 Days 12 *127*1#
₦10,000 PLAN 26GB 58.5GB 30 Days 15 *127*11#
₦15,000 PLAN 42GB 94.5GB 30 Days 16 *127*12#
₦18,000 PLAN 50GB 112.5GB 30 Days 17 *127*13#
₦20,000 PLAN 63GB 141.7GB 30 Days 33 *127*33#

To enjoy all the above benefits, all you have to do is purchase a new Glo SIM card.

Note: all the above plans are usable on iPhones, iPads, blackberry, android, windows, and all other devices, including modems.

Another hack you can apply to get an incredible deal from all the above data plans is to migrate to GLO Yakata. You will get additional airtime and data bonuses along with the ones above.

In fact, Glo Yakata gives you 22 times the value of whatever recharge you make. Read more about Glo Yakata here.

Glo Flexi plans

Unlike the regular3G/4G plans that can be used any time of the day, if you subscribe to a Glo flexi plan, there are certain conditions attached.

Flexi plans give you conditions as to when you’ll be able to surf the internet, make downloads or uploads.

Here’s how each works:

TGIF ₦500 weekend plan

Thank God it’s Friday weekend plan offers you an insane data volume of 3GB for just ₦500; however, as the name implies, you can only use it during the weekends; from Saturday 12 am till Sunday 11.59 pm.

To subscribe to TGIF weekend plan dial *127*61# or SMS 61 to 127.

The validity period is just 1 week.

The volume you get for  purchasing TGIF weekend plan is large, but the limitations are huge. I’d only subscribe to this plan if I intend to download or upload a lot of files during the weekend without having to exhaust my regular monthly plan.

₦200 night plan

With just ₦200 you’ll get 1GB if you subscribe to Glo flexi night plan. Unbelievable, right? I thought so too at first. It’s one of the best deals out there compared to other networks. To subscribe to Glo night plan all you have to do is dial *127*60# or SMS 60 to 127. But first you must make sure you have up to ₦200 in your account balance.

Note: The data subscription is only valid for one day. I make use of this night plan whenever I intend to update my antivirus or download something of 1GB size thereabout.

G 100

Sincerely, G 100 isn’t the best deal out there. You only get 4GB for ₦6,000, and the data subscription is only valid for 30 days or 100 hours. Instead of G 100, I’d rather subscribe to one of the monthly plans. To subscribe to G 100, dial *127*5# or SMS 20 to127.

G 300

Similar to G100, I don’t find G 300 so fascinating. For ₦15,000, you only get 12GB, and the data is only valid for 3 months or 300 hours. Again, I recommend you go for one of the monthly plans instead.

Here’s the difference:

₦2,500 monthly plan for 3 months gives you 21.6GB for ₦7,500 only while G 300 gives you just 12GBfor ₦15,000.

If you’re still interested in G 300 dial *127*4# to subscribe or SMS 21 to 127.

If you’re the type that do not surf the net on your smartphone or device regularly, maybe because there’s internet connection at your workplace, then G-Leisure is for you.

You’ll get 12GB for ₦5,000 and your data is usable from 8pm to 9am daily during the weekdays and all day during the weekends.

As a matter of fact, I still prefer and recommend the regular monthly plans more.

Notwithstanding, if you’re interested in subscribing to G-Leisure, dial *127*7# or SMS 30 to 127.

If you’re looking to set up internet at your place of work, then G-work was created just for you.You get 12GB data for just ₦6,000 and it’s valid during regular work hours, which is 8 am to 9 pm. Naira for naira, though, I still think regular monthly plans are cheaper.

To Subscribe to G-Work, dial *127*6# or SMS 31 to 127.

The table below gives a breakdown of all Glo flexi plans:

Plan Name Price (N) Data Volume Validity SMS to 127 USSD Code
TGIF – N500_WEEKEND_PLAN 500 3GB 7 days (Weekend – Saturday 12 am – Sunday 11.59pm) 61 *127*61#
N200_NIGHT_PLAN 200 1GB 1 day (12am – 5am) 60 *127*60#
G 100 6,000 4GB 100 Hrs or 30 days 20 *127*5#
G 300 15,000 12GB 300 Hrs or 3 Months 21 *127*4#
G-Leisure 5,000 12GB 8PM to 9AM – Weekdays + All day on Weekends 30 *127*7#
G-Work 6,000 12GB 8 AM to 9 PM 31 *127*6#

Glo campus data booster

Glo campus data booster provides amazing benefits for everyone living around Nigerian campuses. So, if you’re a Nigerian student or you stay around or within campuses, then you must take advantage of what Glo offers.

The table below explains what you get with Glo campus data booster.

Price Data volume Off-Campus On-Campus Glo to Glo Bonus Free Data for Gifting Validity
N100 100MB 100MB 225MB N100 25MB 2 days
N200 200MB 200MB 450MB N200 50MB 4 days
N500 500MB 500MB 1.12GB N500 125MB 7days
N1000 1GB 1GB 2.25GB N1000 250MB 15 days
N2000 2GB 2GB 4.5GB N2000 500MB 30 days
N5000 5GB 5GB 11.2GB N5000 1250MB 30 days

As you can see, off campus values on data volume and other bonuses is around half of what you get if you’re staying on-campus.

You also get free data for gifting, in case you decide to share with your girlfriend or boyfriend in school.

There are no short codes for subscribing to Glo campus booster. You need to dial *777# on your mobile device and follow instructions to subscribe to any campus plan of your choice.

However, you must be staying around an institution that’s currently approved for Glo campus booster. According to Glo, there are over 300 of them.

Summary on regular 3G/4G Glo data plans for all smartphones

In my opinion, Glo campus data boosters and regular 3G/4G plans give you greater value for your money compared to Glo flexi plans, though you get longer validity period for some of the flexi plans.

The longest validity period for regular android, windows, iOS and other smart devices is 30 days. Nevertheless, it’s still the best deal out there.

Also, all data plans are automatically renewed. If you don’t want to get automatically renewed on any plan, send CANCEL to 127 before the expiration of your subscription.

We have shared several insightful tips to help you get the best deals from all the cheap Glo data plans currently available.
